Week 1 NFL Preseason Schedule

Week 1 NFL Preseason Schedule

The 2013 NFL preseason schedule was announced on Tuesday and as usual, the preseason will begin with the Hall of Fame Game. The Miami Dolphins and Dallas Cowboys will meet in this year’s Hall of Fame Game which is slated for August 4.

The preseason schedule consists of 65 games, 11 of which are already scheduled for national television broadcasts. The NFL Network will also broadcast live games each week. The first full week of games will begin August 8 with teams playing Thursday through Sunday during the first three weeks. The preseason wraps up on August 29 with all 16 teams in action.

Many consider the third week of the preseason to be the closest to a regular season game and at least five of the Week 3 games are scheduled for national broadcasts. The Seattle Seahawks will travel to Green Bay to face the Packers on August 23, the first meeting between the teams since their controversial Week 3 meeting last season. The game will be broadcast on CBS.
